Job Summary:
The Director of the Center for Federalism Studies (CFFS) provides strategic leadership and overall management for the center. The Director is responsible for shaping the center's vision, mission, and strategic direction, fostering academic excellence, and ensuring impactful policy engagement. This role oversees all aspects of the center's operations, including research, training, outreach, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the center's strategic plan, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
Academic Leadership: Foster a culture of academic excellence, promoting high-quality research and scholarship in federalism and governance studies.
Policy Engagement: Lead the center's efforts to translate research into policy recommendations and engage with policymakers at national and international levels.
External Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with academic institutions, think tanks, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Financial Management: Oversee the center's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
Team Management: Lead and mentor the center's staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Fundraising and Development: Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the center's research and activities.
Advisory Board Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with the Advisory Board, ensuring their guidance and support.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in political science, law, public policy, or a related field.
Extensive experience in research and policy analysis related to federalism and governance.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Strong track record of publications and policy engagement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in fundraising and grant writing.
