Our governance structure ensures transparency, accountability, and strategic direction in all our activities—ranging from research and policy development to capacity building and public engagement.
This framework enables effective decision-making, fosters collaborative leadership, and aligns the center’s activities with national and international standards for governance and federalism research.
The governance of CFFS is structured into key decision-making and advisory bodies, ensuring that the center operates efficiently, ethically, and in alignment with its mission.
The Executive Leadership Team is responsible for the overall vision, mission, and strategic direction of CFFS. This team oversees governance policies, institutional partnerships, and research priorities.

👤 Operations Manager – Oversees logistics, administration, and internal coordination.
The Advisory Board consists of distinguished scholars, policymakers, and governance experts who provide guidance, strategic oversight, and research direction. The board ensures that CFFS remains academically rigorous, policy-relevant, and globally connected.

📌 Role: The Director provides strategic leadership and oversees the research, policy, and institutional direction of CFFS. They are responsible for ensuring that the center achieves its mission and objectives while maintaining academic excellence and policy impact.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement the strategic vision of CFFS.
Oversee research programs, policy engagement, and institutional growth.
Establish partnerships with government institutions, research centers, and international organizations.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of committees and working groups.
Ensure compliance with academic, financial, and governance policies.
Represent CFFS in national and international forums on federalism and governance.
📌 Role: The Deputy Director supports the Director in implementing CFFS’s strategic goals and manages day-to-day academic and operational affairs.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of research and policy projects.
Supervise academic programs, conferences, and workshops.
Coordinate with advisory boards and research teams.
Manage institutional reporting and performance evaluation.
Step in for the Director when required.
📌 Role: The Operations Manager ensures the smooth functioning of CFFS’s administrative, logistical, and financial operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
Ensure that research, training, and policy projects run efficiently.
Manage the CFFS staff and daily operations.
Handle communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.
